THE JOURNEY TO WELL-BEING
NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
What I’ve personally seen work wonders for my clients, time and time again
When we encounter the pain and disappointments of life, what matters most is how adaptively and flexibly we can respond to that pain.
According to current research¹, this psychological flexibility is the strongest predictor of well-being, above happiness, material success, and strong relationships.
When we can be open to the feelings we experience without becoming reactive or shutting down, when we can be aware of our surroundings and what’s happening in the present moment, and when we can actively move toward what is important to us, we are practicing psychological flexibility.
That is what we will be building with our time together, that is what research shows to be effective, and what I’ve personally seen work wonders for my clients time and time again.
What Happens During Sessions
During sessions, you will experience a combination of talk therapy, experiential activity, and practice outside of session to address your concerns.
Using talk therapy, we will explore your story as deeply as you are comfortable and get to know what is holding you back from the life you want to live based on what you’ve been through.
Using experiential activity, we will be engaging in therapeutic techniques in real time and teaching you effective ways of navigating your difficulties.
We will create a plan for your practice outside of session to solidify your skills, extending the benefits of therapy outside of just our hour together.
Types of Therapy
Walk-and-talk therapy typically takes place in a public outdoor location convenient to the client and therapist, usually a local park. The same focus on talk therapy and experiential activity are utilized and care is taken to ensure confidentiality to the best of therapist and client’s ability. There are numerous benefits to walk-and-talk therapy and it can be a great way to promote your physical health goals while also addressing mental health concerns.
